3 common toxins and how to avoid them
Tips from Registered Nurse, Health Coach and mom, Sarah Kolman
Pollution and toxins are everywhere. It takes a little work to uncover all the sources of chemicals of concern in your home, but that’s the best first step to avoid exposure. Start with these three:
Parabens are linked to breast cancer – look for “–paraben” on ingredient labels and steer clear!
Pthalates can mess with your hormones. Choose products that are fragrance free or scented with essential oils and say no to products made of PVC.
Linked to heart disease, diabetes, cancer and more. Use glass for food storage when possible, especially when heating. Avoid receipts.
